A tall ship painting by Geoff Hunt

For their incredible beuty and majesty and for their connection to an imaginary of adventures, battles and discoveries the Tall Ships had always been (and still they are) perfect subject for paintings, insomuch as that we can speak about Tall Ship Art as a well-defined pictorial genre, with its own characteristics and protagonists. Here below you can see some works from four of the main artists of this kind of paintings: Derek G. M. Gardner, John Michael Groves, Geoff Hunt and Mark R. Meyers. These are just brief selections because they are all very prolific!
